I normally hate a bath

I rarely have a bath. In fact…I am just not a huge bath fan in general. I have a slight ‘thing’ about getting wrinkly fingers and feet team that with touching a towel and it sends shivers and goosebumps through my entire being. We all have our thing right…!?

But sometimes, I feel my body and being calls in for a soak. I was mid-way through my bleed and I was called to make myself a bath on Friday.

I set-up my bath as I usually do:

-Pretty warm (hot lobster style) water with epsom salts- a cup of.

-I even added some of the childrens’ natural bubbles

-Lit a candle

-Cleared the energetic space with smoke

-Set an intention for the bath

-Popped on a facemask

I enjoyed some reading in the bath and then just lay with my thoughts. I don’t use baths to actually fully clean myself as such or even wash my hair. Nope. Not for me.

But I enjoy the feeling of my muscles and my mind relaxing. Sometimes I will wear my headphones and play a meditation to ensure I am in there for a decent length of time.

I connected my heart and my womb space through some deeper breathwork.

Then I pulled the plug.

The difference between this bath and all previous baths I have ever had was what happened after I pulled the plug.

I sat in the bath and then I pulled out the plug. While the water drained I sat with the intention of letting go and feeling the current unwanted thoughts flow out and down the drain.

I imagined these worries and the unwanted energy currently filling my being to be taken to the sea. To be set-free in the sea with the mermaid priestesses.

Once I got out it felt revelational to allow the water to literally drain away from me.

After the bath I drank a large drink of water to allow the energy to move around my body. Of course, this was also for general dehydration after allowing myself to do some deep cleansing work.

It was certainly a new experience for me. One I recommend trying on those days when you feel you need just a little extra support. To allow you to go deeper with your self-care in order to support you with letting go. To go deeper as a feminine soul. I also ensured I connected some breathwork through holding my womb and my heart space when engaging in a few rounds of deeper breath.I felt revitalised and relaxed ready for an early night.
